Nicholas Mueller

Nicholas is a registered psychologist (AHPRA, MAPS, IEDTA) with extensive experience in psychotherapeutic counselling across diverse communities and a range of issues using frameworks including ISTDP and EMDR.

Nicholas’ approach is based in authenticity, curiosity, creativity, and hope. He believes therapy can be a place for people to explore relationships with themselves and others, navigate change and improve emotional wellbeing. He has assisted people from different age groups, cultural backgrounds, religions, genders and sexual identities.

Initially educated in psychology at Macquarie University, Nicholas began as a volunteer in crisis support and suicide prevention. He went on to focus on Psychotherapy and Buddhism while working with young people throughout Western Sydney. He has worked with refugees and people seeking asylum at Foundation House and Cabrini Health. Most recently he has been assisting people living with chronic pain.

As a volunteer with Psychology for a Safe Climate, Nicholas has assisted activists to manage intense emotions related to grief and burnout. He has strong interests in assisting individuals who have struggles with complex trauma, loss and uncertain futures.
